I download "Jabref" from Internet (a software to organize bibliographic references) and I can't opend it. The message is "We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar".
What does that means?
I have the impression that MacBook Pro is less compatible with Internet download that MacBook, because since I bought it I have had many problems...??

    Which version of Safari are you using, sometimes developers will update for other browsers before Safari so you may want to try Firefox and see if it works there.

    I have this same message popup everytime I open my download folder. I don't even use Safari at all. This started happening right after I updated to Snow Leopard.

    I started to receive this same pop-up message a couple of months back, but it only appeared after a downloaded .avi file was complete using Vuze (a torrent client). However, after installing Snow Leopard, this message has begun popping up all of the time, and I have no idea why or when it will occur. I also do not use Safari, and have made sure that Safari has been updated.

    I think I found a solution. Even if you uninstall an added on toolbar on Safari, go to Applications and click on the folder titled "Toolbar". There should be a sub-folder where you can uninstall the toolbar.

    Yup, I have exactly the same problem. I looked in the "Toolbars" folder but it's empty. Does anyone have any idea where this toolbar application came from (i.e. which company developed it) so that I can try asking them for some help?

    It seems it is related to some standard library which is used by safari. I started having these messages when I have installed a 3rd party application FBreader under OSX 10.5.8 which interface reminds Preview program. And do not have toolbars folder in Applications altogether. Would be nice to hear from the developpers what triggers safari to report the problem about the community toolbar if it is not even running

    I don't have a solution. Just wanted to add that I keep getting this error message ever since I installed a toolbar for pingfm. My toolbar folder is also empty.

    I have the same problem here, after the update to Snow Leopard this message started to pop-up. Very annoying.

    Anyone has a solution to this?

    Remove a "Community Toolbar" x Safari

    1 Open the Finder application and browse to Applications.
    2 Scroll down to Toolbars and click on Toolbar Name
    3 Double-click on “Uninstall”.
    4 Fill in the “User name & Password” and click the OK button.

    This has already been suggested in post 6 above. I personally do not have Toolbars at all in Application nor anywhere else

    I'm having this message pop up now as well. I'm on a brand new iMac (Christmas gift!) and it's popping up when Safari isn't even open. I'm working with Picasa and with moving pictures around in Finder. I have one toolbar installed in Safari, but it's not called "Community Toolbar" and, like I said, Safari isn't even running now. It would be great to find a fix for this, as it's really annoying.

    I've been having the same problem. The thing is irritating. I searched community toolbar in google and found something that has been working for me. So far so good anyway.
    Open the Library folder
    Open the InputManagers folder
    Put the CTLoader in the trash.
    Empty trash. You may have to resart in order to empty trash
    I also was asked to give my admin password.
    Aaagh. No more Community Toolbar warnings

    Your problems was kicked off by installing the Face Book Reader.
    It's not a Safari problem.
