I have a late 2011 MBP and I already have sunflowerbed. Is there anything else I need to do to turn on the audio?
Hi Ya'll, my hdmi connection was working perfectly up until a few days ago. My MBP will not turn flash blue or do the handshake at all. It does not detect a connection whatsoever. Any thoughts???
that was precisely my problem, read my post on page 46 for what fixed it for me.
My hunch is that it is indeed a logic board issue if you have tried all solutions discussed in this thread
If it WAS a logic board - how come it's such a universal problem, with so many machines... and intermittent...?
and, if it is, then replacing it will be the answer - so go for it, eh?
When you have your TV hooked up an icon of a TV appears in the toolbar at the top of the desktop. Click on that and you can change the setting to mirror your computer.
Guys just wanted to say thanks for the help. Everything worked as was explained and now my setup is almost perfect. Thanks again!
Hi there, just got my mdp to hdmi and got it to work by mirroing the displays and in my case using vlc to output its audio to my receiver and no problem whatsoever
DJXXL thanks. Your suggestion worked as you described. Now if only I could connect to LCD projector through MDP to VGA. Cheers
Try a different adaptor, try a cable instead of using an adaptor. You may have to try a few methods before finding one that works.
Thanks for the advise Csound1.
I bought a Moshi MDP to HDMI Adapter and it worked.
To conclude, the Rocketfish MDP Adapter DOES NOT WORK FOR iMAC !!!!!!!!!!!!!
hold up there, i havent seen any one having problems with the mini display to hdmi cables. am i wrong?
I was so frustrated until I read dmjgkart's post. I could not watched purchased HD content from iTunes on my 47" Vizio television until I followed these steps. Now it works perfectly.
I had same problems--
Fixed it by turning on mirroring(Displays--arrangement) & then detect displays & then choose 720i
Did you "detect the display"?
