Unable to delete favorites from Apple TV

If it's a bug in the ATV software, as it seems, about the only thing you can do is submit a feedback report via Apple's support page and wait for them to fix it in a future update.

Half of the podcasts in my favorites list have been missing their icons since the 2.4 update, and I haven't found a way to get them to display again. Undoubtedly another bug in need of a fix.

remove the favourite and re-add it.
always sorts it for me.

i usually find the artwork disappears when something is changed at the RSS feed end of the podcast (essentially the link to the podcast has changed slightly since it was made a favourite).

Seemed like a logical solution to me, so I tried it but got an unexpected result.

When I select a podcast from the favorites list that has a missing icon, the option is to add it rather than remove it. If I add it, it adds a second copy of the same podcast with the icon, but the original missing icon entry also remains. If I select the remove option from either copy, the newly added duplicate with the icon is removed, but the original with the missing icon remains and the option reverts back to add rather than remove.

There doesn't appear to be any way to remove the podcasts with the missing icons short of doing a factory restore of the ATV. I'd say this is definitely a bug in the ATV software.

ah yes i've had that in the past before also (although not recently).
and yes the only way i found to remove those "corrupt" was to factory restore.

the ones i've had recently though were resolved with the un-favourite/re-favourite routine.

Same problem here! How many years, and this issue still exists? And why do I have to log into youtube everytime, if I want to save a favorite? If I do not log out, then log into youtube, I get an error when I try to save a favorite....

yup... i had that too...

you are correct that the only way to fix the favorites i.e. to be able to delete ones with only add buttons and no delete buttons is the do a factory restore, re-upgrade and add your favorites back.. i had this happen in ~2.something.. since i did that no problems with this again.
