Calendar auto delete past events?

I am a previous user of Motorola, now I have an Iphone 3GS and I want to know if the past events on the calendar delete automatically after some time. If not, do I have to remove them one by one?

Thanks!

Iphone 3GS, 32GB

Past events will not delete automatically.

The iPhone is designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer for calendar events and contacts. There is an option on the iPhone to sync all events, or events 6 months back etc.

If the supported application on your computer includes an option to automatically delete calendar events are a designated period of time, this will be reflected with your iPhone's calendar when syncing calendar events with the supported application on your computer.

Yes.

Calendar events are included with your iPhone's backup along with a lot of other data - updated by iTunes as the first step during the sync process, but it isn't a good idea to depend on your iPhone's backup alone for this data. If you don't sync this data with a supported application on your computer as designed and a problem arises that requires restoring your iPhone with iTunes and this is done from your iPhone's backup but there is a problem with the backup, this data can be lost.
