iWeb '09 RSS feed widget broken again... Anyone else having this issue?

Hey all,

I and a few others have written and commented on this topic before. It appears the RSS feed widget offered by Apple on iWeb '09 isn't working again.

The RSS feed from my iWeb blog is working as I have tested it out on separate RSS feed readers online, so the link is live.

However the RSS widget that you can embed on your site is not reading and displaying the feed.

One of the previous problems with this RSS widget is that it would not update from the feed on a regular basis. As of last week, it was working (sort of) updating itself probably every 48 to 72 hours. However it isn't working at all now. The widget display a box with the letters "RSS" in the center.

Working from iWeb '09, the widget box displays an error message as well.

Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks!

The most control 'you' can exercise is to delete the original files, specifically the rss.xml file, and let iWeb republish everything under: File / Publish Entire Site.

If the feed persists after republishing, then the issue is in the cached pages at your service provider, and you'll need to wait for their refresh cycle to occur. Different IPs will cache and empty their cache at almost unpredictable time cycles (usually a few days to a few weeks). If it is the cache persisting, your local experience may vary from what others get.

rss widget in iweb 09 is broken for our site as well. won't show any new updates, even though the rss feed is working fine, is well formatted.

it still shows all the posts until the middle of march - but no post after.

apple is becoming the company of "it just works . . . until it doesn't!"

absolutely enraging. haven't found any suggestions.

the feed is from wordpress, for whatever that is worth.
