"USB Device Drawing Too Much Power" but all USB ports are Free!

An error is popping up quite frequently warning me that a USB device is drawing too much power. I don't have any USB devices or external drives etc plugged in to the lap top. I would love some help/advice about what I should do.

Mac Book Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.1)

You actually have some internal USB devices as well (look at the USB tab in the System Profiler). If S.U.'s fix doesn't work, it could be a hardware issue.

Well, the fix didn't help. I forgot to mention that despite the error, all USB ports work perfectly.

Still, the warning is likely there for a reason. Since you likely have access to an Apple Store, it may be worth making an appointment at the genius bar and ask them about it. Like khassani said, it could be a hardware problem, and if so, it's best to address it. Post back with what they say.

I am having the exact same problem although my USB ports do not work at all. Will likely visit the Genius Bar in the morning.
