Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Hi guys!

I just got my Mac a couple of months ago, and I'm still getting used to it. I've got a quick question about compressing pictures.

Using MS Office Picture Manager (on Windows, of course), I can easily compress pictures using their three default settings ("Documents" 1024 x 768, "Web pages" 448 x 336 and "E-mail messages" 160 x 160). I can also select lots of pictures and compress them at the same time.

Which Mac software applications can I do this with? I've tried using iPhoto and Picasa, but they don't work as well.

Cheers!

Hello and welcome to the Apple community and forums!

iPhoto File > export is an excellent way to resize one or multiple photos.

You can also select multiple photos and click the email button in iPhoto.

You can also drag a batch of photos into a new email message from finder and then the bottom left corner of the message window allows you to size small, medium, large or original.

Preview > Tools > Adjust Size ... also works well.

There are many many options to resize photos, and these are but a few of the free.

Cheers

Michael
