I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard on my Macbook Pro with 4 GB RAM. In general, while I dont notice the promised speed boost and do agree with some other posts here that there maybe a slowdown, what bothers me in particular is that *aliases are slow to load in the Finder*. I see a *"Resolving alias ..."* before the folder is launched - these are not network folders - but local.
I've installed the performance update posted yesterday but no improvement. 64bit/32bit makes no difference. Anyone else noticing a similar problem? Is there anything I can try?
thanks for your time!

I too am having the same problem, I have White macbook 4g ram 10.6.2 and still have this problem, however I narrowed it down to (for me that is) alias to folders that are inside of my user folder, anything on the root or other file alias are fine, going to use ONX and wipe out all my prefs and caches and see whats up.
