Help - I lost my RAID icon

I mistakenly changed the icon for my RAID drive and I can't seem to find a replacement anywhere - any idea where I can find one???

Are you asking about the icon that shows up on your desktop? If so, you should just be able to select the drive and "Get Info..." (Command+i or File>Get Info), select the icon in the upper left corner and hit the backward-delete key. This should replace the icon for the drive with the default icon.

If you mean the icon in the dock, just drag your RAID icon from the desktop to the right side of your dock by click, drag and hold (with mouse button down) until things 'slide' to make room for the icon and then let go of your mouse button.

Are you asking about a custom icon that had originally replaced the default icon? Google might be your best bet. Just search for icons for OS X.

Let me be more specific:

I have a RAID5 array set up with an Apple RAID card. I was fooling around with Time Machine and tried out using the RAID drive as a Time Machine backup drive. When I did that, OSX changed the RAID icon on the desktop to the Time Machine icon. I have since disabled Time Machine but the icon does not go back to the original.

Any ideas? I know it doesn't really matter, but its kind of annoying!

You still should be able to clear this by my first suggestion. If this doesn't work, you can try to delete Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences/Finder.plist.

Another option would be to select another drive/folder or icon from somewhere else. Get Info>select icon>copy...Get Info on your RAID>select icon>paste.

You can also try to delete '.VolumeIcon.icns' from the root of your RAID in Terminal.app:
rm /Volumes/nameofyourraidvolume/.VolumeIcon.icns

This file might or might not be there. Just a stab in the dark.

You can also try to delete '.DS_Store' from the root of the RAID as well.
rm /Volumes/nameofyourraidvolume/.DS_Store

This file stores volume preferences and the like.

A simple reboot might clear it as well.
