Second, don't expect any third party to have support ready for Apple releases. Apple is a great company but other companies are kept pretty much in the dark. They only see snippets until the actual OS is released. Then they have to scramble to play catch up.
Sorry, but that's just nonsense. All developers, including myself, have been in the position of receiving great support prior the release of Snow Leopard. Also, most other manufacturers had their products ready. HP could have started with the development of Snow Leopard one year ahead easily, it's just a matter of priority and resource allocation. Developing new products generates more income cash flow than does spending time on supporting old ones. I'm sure HP exactly calculated the financial loss of frustrating the customers that they're asking for their understanding now, and they decided to keep them on low priority.
So don't blame Apple, they really did everything to make the transition as smooth as possible. It's the result of decisions of ignorant individuals that puts the obstacles in your way. And Apple not being in the business industry is just laughable. I know more small businesses relying on Apple products than on any other companies' products. And they usually go well with that.
