Cannot complete sync (Error 13001)

Hi,
I need desperate help on this. I can sync items from other categories except music into my iphone 3GS. It states error 13001. When i tap ipod button in my iphone. No songs are stored in them. I have latest itunes and OS. I tried various methods but to no avail. Please help!!!
