Mail Asks for Keychain Password

Why does Mail ask for my login keychain password whenever the computer wakes from sleep? Never did this before I upgraded to Snow Leopard. I'd like to avoid resetting my keychain if possible. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Intel iMac, PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.6.1), HP Laserwriter, Time Capsule, Duet, Edirol PCR-30

I have been on the phone with apple support on this issue for 2 months!
I am not joking. I bought a brand new MBP 2 weeks ago and the stinkin problem transferred to the NEW computer!
I believe this is a mobile me issue of some sort.
I am on hold again. This problem is very sporadic.

He can't figure it out either.

This happens as soon as I close the lid, otherwise the computer works like a dream.
What is the stinkin deal??????

I, too, am about to pull my hair out. Went to the local Apple store and asked for help during One to One session. No help. Called Apple tech support. No help. I love my Mac, but this issue is really a problem. I have come to expect better from Apple. I'm using an old AOL account. I feel like the guys on Lost having to constantly punch the numbers into the computer every 108(?) minutes. Except in my case, it's every few minutes to re-enter my AOL password. I'd sure be happy if someone had a suggestion.
