iPod touch asking for itunes password every time I wake it from rest

Hi,
Ever since upgrading to the latest iPod Touch OS last week, my iPod touch has been constantly asking for my iTunes password when waking it up. It used to only ask when there was a reason, like buying an App, but now it asks all the time and it is very annoying as I use a complex password. I could simplify it I guess, but that seems to be not a good idea to me.
What can I do to fix this?

iPod Touch 8GB, iPhone OS 3.1.2

I tend to agree. If you are completely out of the store, you should not be getting this. Has anybody tried going to Settings > Store > Sign Out and see if that gets you out of the loop?

Also, if you haven't restored, now would be a good time to try that.
