Would like to stop constant parking of HD heads and clicking noise?

Aside from the program HDAPM, is there a way to stop the constant parking and unparking of my Fujitsu 5400 250gb HD heads. For some reason, even with the successful launching of the hdapm program, the clicking and constant parking and unparking of the heads on the drive continues. Any help to workaround this with hdapm, or another approach to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated. Ohter than this, I love the computer.

I did performance Update 1.0 after the problem was recognized. I did follow each of the steps in the link you provided, and it shows up in the console as successfully launched. But I did read on another forum where the way to install was very complicated, including using a /user/bin method, with many more steps....not sure it would mean anything more effective. As far as I can tell the hdapm was successfully launched. As I asked, is there a problem with it functioning with a Fujitsu HD? I uninstalled and reinstalled successfully, as per your link, but no stopping the head parking issue.
Anyone with other suggestions to finish with this problem? Short of having to buy a SSD? There must be a way to change the program by which these drive heads operate.

Did you use a Time Machine backup from another Mac when starting up the new computer? I am going to do an erase and install and work a little without transferring original setting and networks, and data from my Imac Time machine backup. If that works then maybe it was that. if the clicking conintues with constant heads on HD, then I will erase and install and backup again from Time Machine and try a fix with Apple support, though in the end I love the computer and don't want to exchange. Perhaps a HD swap or just gut it out and buy an SSD, and the heck with it.
I am in France and can return the computer within 15 days of purchase, so that's not a problem. But screen is great, fan not too loud, etc.

tried hdapm and declunk but the slight clicking every 5 or 10 seconds perisists, except when I am in an application using it, or quickly moving from one internet site or link to another. when I stop for * seconds, the click occurs. then I tap on an application or icon, and the click occurs again, as if the drive is rengaged.
I don't mind putting in as SSd, just want to be sure that the drive is the problem here. Not something else.

Does your HD make the light but pretty constant clicking noise? I think there is a difference between the louder sound of the hard drive spinning down or changing directions, so to speak, and this clicking on and off which is constant. You idle the computer for more than 8 seconds, a click, you open an application, a click. Doesn't occur, for example when writing a document in order, or changing and clicking different internet sites at a quick rate, so as not to give the HD, I think, the time to park. This is only guessing on my part.
At first I thought it was linked with the touchpad tap to click, but it occurs while idling as well.
