Can i use Airplane safe mode with British Airways???

Ive searched on the internet and here and seen that although some people have used the Safe mode on planes when above 10'000 feet that they have had problems and been told to completely turn it off!

Now some airlines seen to be ok and some not so (mainly budget airlines)!

I did read that Virgin and BA are ok with the safe mode, but upon checking on the BA website i cant find anything that confirms this from them.

Can anyone confirm this at'all before i fly on sunday?

The point is that there is a poster so emphatically contradicting the User's Guide. I wondered if someone discovered an error. Also, I believe only WiFi can be switched on again in airplane mode, at least according to my reading of the User Guide.

Nope, BT works too if you want it back on. At least, it does on my 3G 3.1.2.

Just to be clear, both wifi and bt can be switched back on after enabling Airplane Mode.

Thank you. Wonder why this doesn't seem to be documented, as it works. Maybe I just haven't found it yet.

The manual does mention turning wifi back on with Airplane Mode enabled but nothing about turning BT back on. I don't use BT but I checked it and it did turn back on with Airplane Mode enabled.

Thats bull, if it is in safe mode and not taking off or landing that is fine. I'm sure everyone has there phones on and not in safe mode when taking off and landing

I've tried this on BA and it works. Turn on Airplane safe as you board. Put phone to sleep. Wake up when seat belt signs go off, and put back to sleep on landing. Not had a problem in numerous flights.

Can i use Airplane safe mode with British Airways???
