Question

Export contacts to SIM card?

Is there a way to export contacts that you save on the iPhone to the SIM card?

I find it a little irritating that the iPhone doesn't have basic cell phone features.

I always said that the iPhone was a mini computer with phone features.

PC, iPhone OS 3.1.2

The iPhone does not support saving contacts on the SIM card, which is limited to a name and a couple of phone numbers and maybe a single email address.

SIMs are even more limited then that. They can store at most 250 name number combinations meaning that if you have multiple numbers for one name it is stored as separate numbers on the SIM. The SIMs true purpose is only to identify the phone to the network. The contacts storage is an extra perk but it is not advanced enough for smart phones so they do not store the contacts on the SIM card.
