Mac mini 2.16 and Dell SX2210 webcam compatibility?

I have a Mac Mini and Dell SX2210, webcam and mic on the monitor work with no problems with Skype, AIM and Photo Booth.

Make sure you connect the USB cable supplied with the monitor to the Mac Mini as this is for the webcam and mics on the monitor.

I have a Dell SP2208WPF monitor and a Mac Mini (vintage April 2009). The Dell owners manual tells me that when I install the disc "Webcam Resourcee CD" something called Install Shield Wizard should appear on my screen and the rest is easy/automatic. I get three icons: AUTORUN.INF, DISK.ID and a folder called Webcam, none of which seems to contain the Install Shield Wizard. I have USB A to B cable installed (though it is a very thin retractable one). Any idea how get the installer to appear? Any other ideas what I am doing wrong?

I don't recall receiving a USB cable with my monitor. Is there something special about this USB cable? Is a standard A to B cable, square at one end flat at the other?

Yes, it is a USB A to USB B cable.
It plugs into the SX2210 next to the VGA socket. The other end plugs into a USB port on your Mac Mini.
I did not install any software for the Webcam.
