Fixing small dent in the lid?

So something fell on my macbook and dented the aluminum shell. It really ***, cause even though it is minor it is definitely noticeable. Any ideas on how to repair it? It looks like it could get massaged out from within but I am not crazy enough to attempt separating the monitor guts from the shell, unless it was very easy.

The shell comes off the display quite easily. You can find videos on YouTube that show how it is done. It should not take more than a half hour if you are slow and careful and gentle the whole while.

For that matter, the entire computer comes apart. It does not require magic, just people with hands and fingers and very simple tools. Videos on youTube or Apple Service Source Manuals show you where any hidden snaps and latches are to found.

I wouldn't recommend doing this, as many people break their glass trying to take the unibody display apart. This exact thing happened to me, but i had black tie protection from Best Buy. I just told them it damaged my LCD 😉 The entire display had to be replaced. $800 dollars i didn't have to pay.

You might be able to get the dent out with dent remover for cars, and in the future I recommend this case http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/nylon-sleeve-cl57324
