looking for a samsung scx 4200 driver

I'm looking for a printer/scanner driver for the samsung scx 4200...

Looked at the samsung website and downloaded the driver from their site but still did not work..

Tried to contact samsung on many occasions but they have not been the best of help..

The drivers say they install correctly, but then when i go to print get the error that there was an installation error..

HI,

This may be a problem. That model is not listed here. Mac OS X v10.6: Printer and scanner software

Nor is there a GIMP available. http://gutenprint.sourceforge.net/pSupportedPrinters.php

I noticed on the Samsung site they offer a Universal Driver but only for Windows. Not Mac friendly for sure.

Thanks for the response and help. Installing the printer driver only did the trick.

Now, I have to find a way to get the scanner portion fixed..

Hi

I have exactly the same problem with SCX 4200. Printer works under 10.6.2 but scanning does not. I downloaded the scan driver for MacOS (10.3-10.6) but didn't help. Any solution?????????

I am having this problem too. Scanning hasn't worked since I upgraded to 10.6.2.

I also downloaded the latest driver from the Samsung website, installed without any issues, and still I can only print. It doesn't show up anywhere, (ie: Preview, Image Capture, etc.) to scan.

Please help!!
