Mainstage 2 (MS2) with Line 6 Floor Pod Plus midi issues problem

I'm having a problem getting the Floor pod plus to trigger a MS2 stomp box on and off.
After doing a learn in MS the pod will only turn off a stomp box but won't turn it back on.
The Volume pedal and Bass, Mid... knobs work fine.

My setup is Line 6 Floor Pod Plus midi to a digi 002 rack firewire to a Mac Pro with Mainstage 2.

Any ideas on how to get this to work.

I will have to return the floor pod it this doesn't work, it's the whole reason i bought the pod. i figured it is an inexpensive way to get a midi footboard and the on board effects don't hurt.

Any ideas are appreciated

Go to the screen control inspector in layout mode (where you did the Learn).
Select the button/parm you did the mapping to.
Change the Type from "Single Value" to "Alternating Value".
Try that...it should work.

I have tried that but it doesn't make a difference. Today when i re did a learn pressing and of the pod pedal turns them all on or off. It's a little better but i can't seem to separate them.
When i do a learn the following setting are automatically set
Type - Absolute
NUmber - Channel Pressure

Hmm that's odd, I really thought that would work. But if Mainstage is learning Number = Channel Pressure then it sound like the FP isn't sending a unique CC which is why everything is working together.

I don't own a Floor Pod (I have a Pod XT) but will take a look at the Floor Pod manual and see what I can come up with for you.

Are you on Skype by any chance? Might need to chat offline to get more info from you. If not, no problem we'll just work through here.

Did you have to change anything with the Pod XT to get it to work?

The midi info displayed from mainstage is P 1 13 13 depending on which bank the pod is set to, if that makes sense.
Example bank 1a
Pedal "a" P 1 1 1 "b" P 1 2 2 "c" P 1 3 3 "d" P 1 4 4

OK well I answered my own question. Actually I feel a little stupid that it took me so long to figure out.

In the normal function when one of the A B C D pedals is pressed it deactivate the other pedals.

It sets the pod to a certain configuration. Trying to do a learn would not work or when it worked pressing one pedal on the pod would activate or deactivate all the Mainstage pedals at the same time.

I didn't realize as I'm new to the Floor Pod Plus that there's another function.

Pressing both the bank pedals at the same time activates the function where each pedal acts individually. A light is lit.

When i was in this mode i was able to use the Learn function in Mainstage 2 to connect each pod pedal to a corresponding mainstage pedal.

Each pedal now works right.

I know for people familiar with the pod already this is a real duh moment.

Just sharing in case someone else runs across the same problem

I think the Floor Pod Plus is a good midi foot controller (Considering you can use it independently of Mainstage when needed) for Mainstage except the bank buttons don't seem to send a midi signal so i don't see a way to change patches from the Floor Pod
