I have Boot Camp set to start up in Windows (Windows 7). When my Mac mini turns on, I get the white screen for long time (a couple of minutes) and then the computer begins the Windows startup (which only takes a few seconds). After that everything is nice and fast. Is this long startup normal or is there a way to reduce the time spent looking at the white screen?
If you happen to have gotten your copy of Windows 7 from some1 els, according the link below it could be background processes that run to bypass normal windows 7 activation 😉 ... thats all im gunna say
Has anyone made any progress with this? I have Windows 7 (Legit Purchased Copy) on my new 2010 13" MBP and have roughly a 20-30 delay on the white screen before windows is loaded. Once running everything is perfect. Does SLIC Bios or rEFIt resolve this boot delay?
Turns out all I needed to do was go into the windows bootcamp control panel, click the startup disk, and click apply. My white screen delay went from ~20-30 Seconds to 5 seconds. I just didn't have my MacBook with me to test this when I posted.
