Had library for Ipod (old tunes) purchased new tunes on iphone. Cannot sinc old tunes onto new iphone or new tunes to old library; it is saying it is two libraries both under same user ID. Why are they seperate? Is it because the new purchase on iphone was before it was connected to computer and old library?
Not using external hard drive. Library is on ipod and see it on our Dell computer with 194 songs; iphone does not have the same library it has 5 songs purchased through it. Cannot get the iphone on the library list. If I sync we will lose new data on iphone library, I think that is what it said.
When we got the iphone we purchased music on it before it was synced with the computer for previous library but signed in through our user id. Is that why?
I think we could just loose the new songs and put old library on it; do we lose the new applications also (which were free ones)?
if you got the music from iTunes then you can always re-download just like your apps. you will not have to re-purchace something you already got. i would save the music files on a seperate folder then re-install iTunes. then sync phone. (you will have to re establish your sync settings.) once the lib is fixed on iTunes it should sync fine.
