Hi. I have a MBP and it wont recognize my usb flash drive. Its not a hardware problem cause it recognizes everything else. Its not the flash drive cause PC recognizes it and its also not cause its cheap, ive tried even cheaper ones and mac recognizes them all! Im so lost. I have like 2gb of very important stuff on that drive, any ideas how to fix this??
I am also experiencing trouble with my HP USB flash drive (HP v100w) when I try to use it with my new MacBook (OS X 10.6.1). The drive works perfectly and is recognized without trouble on my PowerBook G4, but when I insert it into the MacBook, it does not seem to be recognized (though it is listed in the Utilities and System Profiler info). The only seemingly relevant information I get from a Disk Utility verification is that its S.M.A.R.T. Status is "not supported." (I don't know what this means, but maybe it's important?)
When I first insert the flash drive into the USB port (either one), its active light flickers, so I know some kind of connection is being made. Does anyone have advice regarding how to get the MacBook to recognize my flash drive so that I can transfer files? Thanks in advance.
