iMovie 09 timeline editing?

I am very familiar with iMovie HD on my older PowerPC.
want to utilize features of iMovie 09.
I have been given an edit list with timeline locations, but have looked through 09 and have been unable to find a timeline to reference my clips and edits.
will edit in iMovie HD and import to 09 for stabilization if I need, but seems there should be a solution that I have not found.
will cont. to investigate while awaiting forum replies.

There is no timeline.

You can edit clips in Projects on parsed basis by sliding the limiter on the bottom right. For more advanced editing, make sure in Preferences Advanced tools is selected. Then you can do close edits by selecting Precision Editor from the pop-up menu within each clip.

Hi

Many of us still use iMovie HD 6 - where You got a Timeline and better handling of
intelaced video (SD miniDV tape).

or has taken the leap over to FinalCut.

iMovie HD 6 can co-exist on most Macs still and works greatly with iDVD'09

If you like iMovie 06 better, as many do, you can continue to use it. I find that it works perfectly with my new Mac Pro, iDVD 09 and the latest Mac OS.
