Can not get Keystation 49 to work.

I'm connecting the M-Audio Keystation 49 to my iMac (Snow Leopard) but it is like Garageband is not recognizing it.
Do I have to tell Garageband in some setting that the software piano should be controlled by the keyboard?

I get power over the USB so the keyboard is on.

Help!

Go to this site and look for a "Stand alone" synth demo to DL

http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/downloads/demos.html

Perhaps you can test your 49e on a demo standalone to see if it works or not.

It looks like these come in stand alones:
Minimoog V Demo
CS-80V Demo
Moog Modular V Demo

Some people believe Snow Leopard is giving them trouble but I haven't seen any myself.

I went to the M-Audio site and found this. These are the keyboards that do not need drivers under Snow Leopard.
