Apple TV taking a long time to download an iTunes Store movie rental

Normally when we rent a movie from the iTunes Store via Apple TV we're able to start watching it within a few minutes. We just rented one, however, and the downloading process is going super slow. It's been downloading for at least 10 minutes, it's just 22 percent done, and AppleTV is saying that we won't be able to start watching it for another 35 minutes.

Our Internet seems to be working fine and at normal speeds otherwise though.

Any idea why the Apple TV is taking so long to download this movie rental?

Hi! I've had the same issues and I noticed that it appears to be content driven. For example, I was trying to download Person of Interest and Pretty Little Liars but it takes forever on both. Then I back out of those and try Deadly Women and it'll work within seconds. I'm curious if maybe this is an issue with content popularity as the Deadly Women series is older than some of the newer stuff that I've been trying to download. Either that or it has to do with the servers that these shows are hosted on. Does apple use multiple servers for different categories of shows? I'm thinking maybe the more popular ones are possibly slowing things down?? It's really frustrating!
