Be wary of some of these sites. Especially if you're using a PC, unless you want your computer infected with who knows what. Google make ringtones. You can make your own ringtones for free. If you have a Mac, you can make them in Garage Band & export directly to itunes.
That's what I was thinking, but I do resent the fact that I have albums on my iphone and I can't use the song as a ringtone without paying for it again!
I don't have a mac, so would appreciate any info on how to do this on a PC please?
"I do resent the fact that I have albums on my iphone and I can't use the song as a ringtone without paying for it again!"
Simply not true, the link above gives you one way, there are others, and like I said, if you're on a mac you can use garage band to make a ringtone out of any music in your library & export directly to itunes.
Thanks for the link. I saw this one earlier today, but I also found the following comment under tips and warnings on the same link
This will not work with songs bought at the iTunes store or that have DRM (copy protection). Your best bet is to use a song that you have imported from a CD.
As most of my music is purchased on itunes not CD, it makes things difficult
I've used Audiko several times, and have never had an issue. But, rarely do I download ringtones from the sight. I use my own music. To make tones from.
Look at it this way, it's knowledge. Knowledge can never be taken away from you. Once you lean how easy it is to make your own ringtones, you'll never look back. If you have problems making any ringtones, post back and we'll do our best to sort things out for you.
