Time Machine or WD SmartWare

I just bought a WD external HD, which come with SmartWare backup software. Is there any reason to use that instead of/in addition to Time Machine?

I just got a Mybook 2tb external.. I have a late 2005 Dual G5 that I'm replacing with a new iMac 27" this week.
The G5 is running Tiger, so no Time Machine. The WD Smartware seems to work ok, at least I have a full backup from that and my Mozy backup as well.

One thing I thought I'd mention... TM backs up on a schedule as far as I know. (You can download Time Machine Editor to stop it doing a backup every hour) but the WD Smartware is continuous, so every time you change a file it's backed up pretty quickly. That might be important to you or not.
