That's from the Terms of Use for Facebook. In other words, if you upload a photo of your baby to Facebook you give them the right to sell that photo on for use in any way they want. Travel a bit an maybe find a photo of your child on baby food packaging in Korea or something.
If I do what you did and upload then redownload an image and look at the info pane, would that show me exactly what anyone at facebook would see, in terms of metadata?
No it won't tell you. Because Facebook "processes" the photos - an action that is entirely opaque to the user - you have no idea what they are doing with the file. They may strip metadata from the snap, but are they archiving it somewhere?
