Thanks Stephen for taking a look at this.

    Hi Stephen,

I am having the same problem with the blu-ray 3disk digital copy special edition from Amazon.com. I have logged a support request with the paramount website.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I got the 3-disc Blu-Ray edition for Christmas. My girlfriend had purchased it on Amazon a few weeks prior. I had the same issue with iTunes telling me the code had already been used. I submitted a form on Paramount's website that same day, and still haven't heard anything. Did anyone get any sort of confirmation that their form was received? Because I haven't gotten anything to tell me they actually got my form.

Had EXACTLY the same problem with the Star Trek Blue-Ray edition, left a message on http://www.paramountdigitalcopy.com/support/ but have not heard back. Hoping it's simply the holiday crush and not the bum's rush. I did have another problem with other digital copies which were accepted by iTunes, downloaded perfectly, but only displayed a grayed-out screen and no sound. iTunes pointed the finger at the respective movie companies (and aside -- how is it possible in the 21st Century that Warner Bros. and others do NOT offer digital copies in Mac format). Fox Digital SOLVED the problem pointing to a KNOWN iTunes software problem related to deauthorizing and reauthorizing iTunes. It worked PERFECTLY. Just a head's up.

    Tito,

I have not received any confirmation from paramount yet either. However, check out a note from Zoopster (Stephen Zupan) on the previous page of messages in this thread. He seems to be engaged in solving the issue, but I haven't heard from him either

    Thanks,
    Mark

Just to help you guys narrow this down, I have the 2-disc DVD version of Star Trek w/digital download and it worked just fine. Perhaps only the BD versions are affected?

First of all, I'm really impressed with Stephen's reply to this thread and it's encouraging that this issue is getting such personal and timely attention.

FWIW - I originally mentioned a torrent. While I haven't ruled out the possibility, I have been unable to find an actual file to download. I think I may have been fooled by those search result-squatting links that pose as torrent files. All the links I've tried so far either end up bogus or take me to sites that require registration. Further searching may turn up something, but that may not be the root cause after all.

In case it helps, mine was the Target Special Edition Blu-Ray in the Enterprise packaging. I'm trying to redeem it in iTunes. I've already tried de-authorizing/re-authorizing my account.

I have also sent an email to the support page Stephen linked to, but I didn't receive a confirmation. After clicking the send button, I was just redirected to Apple's support page. I assume it went through, but I've received no response.

Thanks again to Stephen for lending your voice to this discussion.

I purchased ST back when it came out. I didn't redeem my digital copy, so when i saw this post on consumerist.com I thought I'd see if I was affected. I was able to redeem it fine without problems. So I don't know if these are isolated incidents but I thought I'd post my results just FYI.

    Purchased 11/17/2009 from Best Buy.

I purchased 3 Disc Blu-ray, seeing same behavior. Mine was purchased yesterday from Best Buy. Filled out form on http://support.paramountbluray.com with Proof of purchase #, error received; currently awaiting feedback. Will update thread w/ any feedback received....this is ridiculous.
    Thanks

Seems to be only the 3-disc special edition blu-ray that's having issues. Same thing happened to me and I just sent an email to Paramount from their website. Hopefully they'll be speedy in fixing the issue.

This has happened to me as well. I bought the 3-disc BD + digital copy edition on Monday from Blockbuster in Canada, (new retail not previously viewed/used) and when I tried to transfer the DC to my Macbook I got the same message saying the code has already been used. Frustrating! I found this thread and the link to Paramount's support page (thank you Zoopster). I filled out the form but as others I have yet to hear from them either. This is really ******* me off because I could've bought the previously viewed copy of the BD and downloaded the DC off of the iTunes store for about the same price. Blockbuster wont take the the movie back or exchange because apparently they can't send it back to the distributor since the code is only thing not working and it is a "service". What B.S. AGH! I hope the Paramount gets their act together... holidays or not.

    Hi,

This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1539 provides troubleshooting tips for DVDs with iTunes Digital Copies.

If the tips in that article don't resolve the issue, you'll have to contact the manufacturer of the DVD.

As Zoopster already said, you can contact Paramount here: http://www.paramountdigitalcopy.com/support/.

I have the BlueRay 3-disc digital copy special edition. I found this thread because the installation instructions did not work at all as they said they would. However, my redemption code did work.

When installing the digital copy, DVD player starts (normal Apple behavior) and the screen says to put the disc in the computer DVD drive (of course, it is). When looking at the disc in the Finder, I was able to figure out to mount the .dmg image, and launched the only application there. The screen has buttons to get game trials, but the "Digital Copy" label is not clearly (enough) labelled to suggest "Click me to get the digital copy". Furthermore, launching iTunes does not automatically start the download process.

In any event, I'm happy that my download worked. And I'm glad that Paramount is paying attention here.

Bought Star Trek Blu-Ray 3 disc set brand new - $29.99 plus CA sales tax. Burned most of a gift card at Best Buy on this fetish/purchase. Entered code for digital copy. Error message informed that the code had already been used. ***? This is why I do not trust iTunes or any sort of cloud computing BS - I want a disc in my hand that I can hack at my leisure for each of my nefarious purposes...
