Boot Camp Control Panel Causes Windows Xp to Freeze

After I installed the Boot Camp 3.0 drivers and restarted my computer, Windows would immediately freeze after logging in to my account. I would then have to do a hard reboot. I figured out that the Boot Camp control panel application that started with windows, was causing windows to freeze. I disabled the application from starting with windows by booting into Safe Mode and disabling it. Windows XP now works, but I can't use the boot camp control panel or the computer freezes. Anybody know how to fix this?
