convert imovie to wmv

I have a brand new 24" iMac (May, 2009) with snow leopard OS.

I just bought a Panasonic DMC-ZS3 camera-video recorder, with the intent to make instructional videos my students, who are primarily Windows people.

How do I save the imovies as wmv files?

How can I get imovies to play on Windows media player?

I have recently switched to a mac, and all my videos that still need work are in WMV... after some researching i found this...? Now i might just get the pro versions to be safe and legal, but i figured I would pass along what i found...

PS: Sorry if my post was against the rules, i just wanted to quickly share this (and didnt exactly read the rules) because i almost felt bad not sharing my research... Feel Free to Remove this post if necessary

Thanks.

1. I was surfing around on a Microsoft site and found a free download of a basic version of Flip4Mac. This enabled me to view wmv files with QuickTime. That solved on half of the equation.

2. My original goal was to find a way to save my imovie files as wmv files so that the masses could see them on Windows media player. However, it is dawning on me that Quicktime is so prevalent that such conversion is probably unnecessary. So, I am kind of at a standstill on this half of the equation.
