Upgrading old Powermac 7500

Hello,

I got from a nice guy for free a PowerMac 7500 which already has :
- Upgraded to PowerPC 604e running at 200 MHz
- 264 MB of RAM
- 4.23 GB hard drive
- Running Mac OS 9

I've already ordered the SONNET Crescendo G3 500 MHz/1MB L2 to increase it's speed. I am planning on getting the AeroPad Mini from Dr. Bott to connect this computer to my Wi-Fi network. Now, the questions are :
- What graphics card can I get and where to help boost my video
- What card and where can I get it to get firewire and USB

I really want to use this computer for the A/V capacities it has built in, plus it's a classic, so how can you really put it out to the trash. The guy even gave me an external SCSI CD burner and scanner.

Thanks

PowerMac 7500, Mac OS 9.0.x

I assume that you set a unique SCSI ID for the additional drive and removed its TERM jumper. The original hard drive's ID is set to "0" by default, so "1" is a good choice for the second drive and requires just one jumper. The TERM jumper should only be installed on the hard drive connected at the end of the ribbon cable. As for write protection, if the drive mounts on the desktop, click on it to highlight it and select "Get Info" from the File Menu. Verify whether the "Locked" box has been checked. If so, uncheck it to disable write protection.

Thanks for the input. It was set as ID 2 but guess I could have it under ID 1. Now ID 0 is my boot drive, so that is good. Going to put ID 1 for this drive, but on ID 3 I have a CD-ROM, should I still term the HD on ID 1 or should it be the CD ROM.

Now, I've actually owned about 5 macs now, but this is actually the first time I'm playing with SCSI. By term, you mean I need to put a jumper on the TRM power on the PCBA in front or in the back of the HD the TRM enable. Thanks again.
