ddr2 ram in ibook g4

i have an ibbok g4 from 2007, the 14" 1.33ghz model, it has a miserable 256 ram, but i have a 1gb stick of ddr2 ram from my imac (late 2008) i appreciate it'll be as slow as the current ram, but would it actually work? i am aware that ddr ram is backward compatible in that pc2100 or pc1600 sots will work with pc2700. but i have dddr2 ram not ddr.

regards
