Connect MiniMac to Pioneer Plastma

I have a 43" Pioneer Plastma with a PDP-R05E media receiver.
How is the best way to connect my brand new Mini Mac to the Media receiver?

I´m a new Mac user, so I hope I can can get some information here.

MiniMac 2009-, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

The highest quality connection that appears to be available on your receiver is the HDMI input. I see you only have one, so if you also have a Blu-ray player you would want to use it for that as well, so you may want to get an HDMI switch box. You would also need to run a concurrent audio connection for the mini, as the display ports on it do not include audio. You would need to be sure you can use your HDMI port while selecting another audio input at the same time.

I have now connected up my Pioneer Plastma using the Canex–HDMI adapter, but I have som problems.
To set up the Kanex (MPD-Adapter) had to connect a VGA dispaly on the mini DVI port, and set the MPD adapter resolution to 720p.
I have now pictures on both screens, but when I disconnect the VGA screen I also loose the picture on the Plastma screen.
If i disconnect the VGA and restart the mini, I get no picture on the MPD/Plastma screen when the mini is up and running.

How can I solve this problem, so when the mini starts up, it starts with the HDMI adapter and the plastma as display in 720p resolution?

If you are telling the system to mirror the display on the plasma TV, it expects the other display connected via VGA to be there when you start up. If you want to view the plasma as your primary display, you need to set it as such and mirror to the VGA connected display. This may also allow you to turn the resolution up to full 1080 on your plasma, although you will probably have to turn it down to mirror to the VGA connected display.

I figured out how to do it.

I started up the Mini with only the Pioneer connected. Then I used my Macbook and the ChickenVNC program to take control over my new Mini Mac (The only thing you need then is the IP and the password of the Mini. You find the IP and set a password in the "Sharing" program).

Then I changed the display resolutions to 1080i, and "voilá" the screen pops up on my Pioneer.

Have now tried to restart my Mini it works perfect with my Pioneer.

After a while my wife was complaining because the text on the screen was just to small and hard to read, so then i set the resolution to 720p and now she is happy too 🙂

Thanks to those who helped me 🙂
