installing error's ! There are lots lets share them all!

ill start! ok...
HKEY LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\windows\currentversion\run. error's installing itunes and quicktime (both) it say "HKEY LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\windows\currentversion\run. verify you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel" i do have access to that key i have full access! its been happening for a long time now?
i posted it week ago and well no help so any one els get this problem or any others?

If you have checked and you definitely do have access to that key, try disconnecting from the internet, then disabling all security software: Firewall, antivirus and any antispyware.

Sometimes security software can cause problems with installs.

The next thing I'd check for is malware. (A number of different varieties of malware attack that Key in order that they can run on startup on an infected PC.)

Try downloading and installing the free trial version of Malwarebytes. Update the Malwarebytes definitions and run a scan of the PC.

Does the Malwarebytes scan pick up any infections? If so, what does it call them?

If you remove any infections with Malwarebytes, can you get the iTunes install to go through properly?

What operating system are you running on the PC? Is it XP, Vista or 7? If it's Vista or 7, do you have a 32-bit or 64-bit version?

In your "Start Search", type run

Right click on the "Run" that comes up and select "Run as administrator".

Type regedit in the run line and hit enter.

Expand HKEYLOCALMACHINE
Expand SOFTWARE
Expand Microsoft
Expand Windows
Expand currentversion

Right-click on "Run" and select "Permissions"

Select the name of your Vista user account on the list.

Does your user account have full control over the key?

Okay. Let's check the permissions (on that same key) for the SYSTEM account. Does that account have full control?

Yes i have full control of all of the keys, another thing what happens when i go to uninstall quicktime because its still on my programs list in control panel and it came up with the same message so i cant uninstall it properly too? does that help a little, thank u?

Yeah, the same issue with the keys would be blocking that uninstall too.

It's possible here that the access control lists (ACLs) on your registry keys are damaged. If that happens, they may show as having full permissions in regedit ... but lack them anyway.

If that's what is going on, the procedure from the following document might be of some assistance:

Could you try that subinal again, note down the precise message, and post back with that please? (Sometimes the subinacl messages can give us a heads up on what is going wrong here.)
