Merge apple id's, me.com and itunes account?
I got about 7 or 8 different accounts with apple i.e.
Apple id
itunes account
mobile me
.mac
Is there anyway of merging these into one? or at least some of them?

Apple should really create a batch processing algorithm on their end to merge the accounts. This is messy and not fun. Now I have 2 apple ids for this forum and each has different hardware registered.
I have emailed Apple and iTunes, however, never received an answer.
I am giving a bump to this thread.
This is an issue that needs to be fixed.
The email address I am using for all my iTunes buys is a gmail account. I want to get all my Apple related activities on my @me.com account. Seems like an easy fix to me.
Even if it is not an easy fix, why can't I just get all my apps and music transfered over to my @me.com account? Even if there is a merge, and make ther merge perminate.
⚠I GOT YOUR BACK BRO. They need to make it right. I'm being patient on the fact that they are moving forward with those solutions in mind. By grace they could be working up a ground-breaking version of the iTunes back-end.
➕BESIDES! Not only do I have two separate Apple IDs, but now my topics and stats are split between two "people". Frustrating. But by grace.
➕IF is just an aglorithm challenge, then I'd do it for commision

Like most of the rest of the folks on this thread I have 2 itunes accounts one a .me account that is my secondary account and another that I've had since itunes inception. I want to SIMPLIFY and have one user account for all the content. It's a pain on my 3g to try to log on to my original account because I initiated the .me account from my first iphone. (Sense a trend here) I have a household full of Apple products and this seemingly simple request is met with an irrational "can't be done, can't merge accounts can't delete an account" answer. This is absurd and serves only to alienate a long time Apple proponent. There must be a simple patch and if not have one created...there is an obvious need. It begs the question that someone earlier inthe thread alluded to "Do you (Apple) want us to go elsewhere for our media management ???
Could not agree more. It would however not surprise me if a solution is presented in a keynote speech to the applause of the attending sheep. "Look, Apple did something clever again"...
So, Apple has released a Beta version of Messages for OSX. And with it, has released yet more reasons that this whole ID mess *****.
So, first off, I have to get out my iPhone, to see which of my Apple IDs I'm using for Messages on there.
Then, it offers you the chance to enter more email addresses you can be contacted by, so, I go to enter my old email address, in case anyone tries to contact me on that. But I can't, because my old email address is linked to my old Apple ID, and so it won't let you.
Oh well, I can probably add another account, using my other Apple ID, so it won't be so bad. .... Nope, you can add multiple accounts for other services, but just one Apple one.
Please fix this!
+1
just ran into the same problem when trying out Messages beta.
As the importance of iCloud and related services grows, my "legacy" Apple-IDs are haunting me more an more.
Ran into the same problem just now with the Messages beta! Hopefully we'll see an end to this problem soon!
Again ran into the same problem with the Messages beta, apple really need to fix this it would make A LOT of people happy. I have a total of 3 apple id's all registered to different apple products from different times.
Simple thing to do each email has a unique code you place all your given codes into your main ID account and all the content is then transferred to that account making the unique code invalid.
APPLE BEFORE YOU START SOMETHING NEW FIX THIS PROBLEM!
+1 for one more user entirely frustrated by this problem.
the Messages beta issue has brought it to a head once again for me but add to that issues with photostream, document sharing in iLife and other inconsistancies between my iDevices.
just UNBELIEVEABLY frustrating that new iPhone/iPad/iCloud users get to experience the "it just works" apple, while those of us who bought into the system years ago are getting the 3rd class citizen treatment.

I think this is what really burns me the most. Let's hope there's a fix rolled out with iPad 3. I'm not holding my breath.
As everyone else in this thread, getting more and more frustrated with the lack of action/acknowledgement from Apple.
I dread to update my macbook with Mountain Lion as I will become more annoyed
This absolutely needs to be resolved. A while back when AppleIDs weren't "mandatory" this wasn't a big issue. With the pervasive use of them now, having multiple IDs is anything but user-friendly. One of the things I love about Apple products (and they build their brand on this) is how easily things "just work". Multiple IDs adds a layer of complexity and frustration to what is being marketed as a seamless integration between all of your Apple products.
Apple, if I have bought 3 of your products where your iMessage service needs to be synced, then there's no question you should spend the resources to facilitate ID merging. Help me stay loyal to your evergrowing empire and make my digital life easier, not harded and more frustrating.
I am in the midst of attempting a solution. Like many, I have a long-standing Apple ID that is tied to many things: iTunes, Support, Mac App Store, etc.
This Apple ID is an email address (@sbcglobal.net) that I want to stop using.
When I started using iCloud in the fall, I set it up with my @sbcglobal.net email. Then, I set up an @me.com email address. That @me.com email address is my secondary email under my Apple ID. (It is also the email that I want to be my mail email going forward.)
And here is where I started experimenting:
First, I logged out of iTunes, then logged back in using the @me.com email. Everything worked. iTunes took me to the profile page, where all my info was the same (and my ID was listed as @sbcglobal.net). I was able to play all purchased music. It was, in fact, the same account, just accessed using @me.com rather than @sbcglobal.net during login.
Then, I went to iCloud online (the web browser version), and did the same thing. I logged out of the @sbcglobal.net ID, and logged back in with the @me.com email. Again, everything was still there (and again, my ID in the corner was listed as @sbcglobal.net).
What this means is that these two IDs are indeed tied together.
My next step will be to try signing out of iCloud on my iMac, iPhone, and iPad, and then signing back in with the @me.com email and seeing if all the data transfers correctly. I am understandably reluctant to do that, though, as I risk losing data.
After that, I will try to sign out of all the other services and sign back in with the @me.com email -- services like iTunes, Mac App Store, Face Time, iMessage, Game Center, etc. If all goes well, all data should still be the same. The only annoyance will be that I will see my Apple ID as @sbcglobal.net, even though I'm now using @me.com.
Hopefully this is a sloution.
One final note -- in iTunes, it looks like you can change your email address. I will try to change it to @me.com. Maybe that is a way to circumvent the inability to change an old Apple ID email to a new @me.com email.
We'll see what happens.
Merge apple id's, me.com and itunes account?
