Setting up wireless extender

How do I set up a wireless extender on my mac mini?

Do I do this within the Aiport section in System Preferences and Network? On this page which Network do I choose, the extender or the router? Do I have airport switched on or off?

After you have created the initial wireless network in Sys Prefs/Network you can extend this network using the AirPort Utility found in Apps/Utilities. After you open the AirPort Utility you can find AirPort Utility Help in the Help menu. There are all the instruction articles about creating and extending your wireless network using the AirPort Utility.

Oh, so you are not dealing with an all-Apple network. Sorry, When you said AirPort, I thought that you were using an AirPort base station and adding an AirPort Express to extend the network.

If you are using other brands, then you probably would need to consult the manual for your wireless router and see how to configure the router to use the extender.
