Best Pismo DVD/CD-RW drive?
Three months ago I was looking into good CD-RW/DVD-R drives to replace the funky CD/DVD expansion bay drive that came with my Pismo. I had settled on the Panasonic CW-8123-B drive as the one that would work best, especially since it required no altering of pins to get it to function.
Well, I put off the purchase, and now I'm finding few vendors for the CW-8123-B. Those that are selling are selling for almost twice what the drive was going for three months ago. When I Google CW-8123-B, though, I keep coming up with a CW-8124-B model. Will that work just as well? Does anyone know? And if I want to spring for the ability to burn DVD's, what drives and software should I look into?
