I get "error code 0x80020022" when I try to write to disc.

"The disk can't be burned because communication between the computer and the disc drive failed (error code 0x80020022)."

This just started. I can't burn to any disc.
I reset my computer every way I know how.
I did disc repair by booting from my restore disc. etc.
I'm using good quality discs that I've used many times before.
I can still watch DVDs and listen to CDs.

Any help please.

My experience this morning brought me to this discussion. I was burning a little under 4 GB to a Mitsubishi 4.7 GB DVD-R. I changed to my own disc, always Sony. Same problem.

After wasting 3 discs, I looked at it, waiting for an idea. I was burning 7 video folders and 1 photo folder. I took the photo folder out and it burned perfectly. I then burned the 7 video folders; perfect.

So one solution might be to separate what's being burned; music, photos, videos, text, whatever. Good luck!
