Itunes Store won't load

Since 5:30 this afternoon I have been trying to get my itunes store to work with absoluetly no success. I click on Itunes store the little loading bar at the top moves to about the middle then disappears and I'm stuck with this screen unmoving:

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong when I do a diagnostics check either.

No, no luck getting the Itunes store to work on my computer at all. I'm wondering if a crucial file for Itunes has gotten corrupted on my computer but then you'd think that'd be repaired when un-installing and re-installing.

But when I installed it on my Dad's computer it worked perfectly fine, so I'm baffled.

Ditto... Last time I checked into the Store was the end of last year... now the status bar only loads half way... it gets to 90% if I try to load through an artist link but just can't get into the store... Was going to have a big spurge this weekend too...

I've tried repairing and also re-installing... no joy what so ever... Think this is happening since I upgraded to the latest version... hopefully the next patch will sort it out.. I'm running v9.0.2.25 - what version are you all running?

Got a reply from Apple support through by email... Think she thought my whole computer was freezing... she suggested I uninstall every apple, itunes and quicktime item through the control panel and the install the latest itunes with quicktime... and quess what - no joy... same thing... so tried again with version 9.0.0.70 and again no joy.. it's a wierd one...

anyone manage to get their to work?

I'll try calling them this afternoon and see where that gets me...

Ok - This worked for me so not sure if it'll work for everyone else but it would seem to be the new software handling system that comes with itunes v9.0 - The Apple Application Support. Using Apple's own article # HT1925 uninstall in this order through the control panel (Making sure you've backed up your playlists and Library):

1. itunes

2. QuickTime

3. Apple Software Update

4. Apple Mobile Device Support

5. Bonjour

6. Apple Application Support ( itunes 9 or later)

Whilst doing that google an older version of itunes that was Pre v 9.0 - I went with the v 8.2.

Once it's all uninstalled, restart the PC and install the older version of itunes. You should now be able to log into the store and just import your library to get all your stuff back. If you get a message saying that itunes won't open as the library is from a newer version, delete to the recycle bin any libraries you can find, open itunes then restore the version you just saved and import.

Like I said it worked for me and I've been logging into the store on and off now since yesterday without problem.

Yes, I too find that itunes store doesn't work any longer! RAAHHH! Would someone please help me!

Symptoms:
--clicking on itunes store home page leads to the progress bar at the top loading half way -- but the store page is just white, with the words just saying it's the itunes store (even though it's not showing me the blooming store!).
--uninstalled itunes and reinstalled (latest version 9), to no avail.
--uininstalled and reinstalled AVG free (latest version), to no avail.
--uninstalled and reinstalled quick time (latest version), to no avail.
--deleted contents of the hosts file in c:\windows\system32\etc, to no avail.
--made sure my LAN settings don't use a proxy

--when in itunes and I click on View -> Show Column View, I can access the contents of the store, and indeed buy things! BUT, I cannot use the search box in the top right, as again it shows the progress bar loading only half way. Surely this has to be something to do with a browser setting somewhere?! The column view demonstrates I CAN access the store; BUT I CANNOT access the store via the web interface that one usually sees in itunes! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help me 😟.

Summary HELP!!!!! Why isn't there a good answer, I've been trying to solve this for 3 weeks, and I'm literally going to cry out of sheer craziness -- it just makes no sense.

Any help would be just simply wonderful and I would be able to buy you a pretend pint of beer / glass of wine / cup of tea / whatever you fancy.

Regards,

Meow

I have the same problem. Its been going since the beginning of December and it's very frustrating! I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling and there is no change. I updated it when the new update came out last week and it didn't help at all. I run the diagnostics and it says there's nothing wrong.
