Dear God, please can someone help me with this problem?!!! I have made phone calls, checked websites and forums and no where can I obtain any help on what I would guess is a basic problem. I have a MobileMe account and an iPhone. I can't get the 'Find my iPhone' function to work on my iPhone. Whenever I switch it 'on' and then press 'allow', it instantly switches it off again. Why can't I get this simple thing to work. I'm desperate and getting angry. Please help me sort this problem. I have 'fetch' and 'push' all switched on.
Thanks in advance
Stuart
It could possibly be an issue with your carrier as the iPhone relies upon some information from carriers on cell tower location as well as GPS so I guess its possible that one of the data feeeds isn't accurate or available.
Hi, I have the same problem as Stuart -- I've tried all of the suggestions here and have been reading this list to see if there was anything I hadn't thought of.
I took my iphone to the Genius bar here in Canada and the tech. did not know about this problem. After I showed him, he tried to fix it to no avail. He then suggested I should "back up and restore" my iphone. And if the problem should persist, he said he would have to REPLACE the iphone.
Because I bought my iphone in Hong Kong, the "replacement" could not be done here in Canada. It can only be replaced at the place where it was purchased.
For all of you who can take the iphone back to the place or origin, it may be worth your while to have Apple replace it.
