Problems viewing trailers on Front Row

Having the same problem. Was working fine until I installed little snitch.

Any1 else with little snitch installed?

I've set the preferences to allow all connections for Front Row.

Tried everything, also just updates quicktime. Any other suggestion? Thanks

I have Little Snitch installed, and it is already set to allow all connections from Front Row. My problem is that, when I delete the preferences file, it fixes the problem--until I quit Front Row. The next time I open Front Row, the issue returns, until I delete the preferences file again, ad nauseum.

But even then, while most trailers start working when I delete the preferences file, some still fail to load with the same error message.

This just started happening lately, so it must be related to some recently installed update.

I am having the same problem, I go on Front Row, play trailers and it come up with the same message.. have you managed to fix yours yet. Would like any advice possible! Thanks

I'm also having the same problem, I have to wonder how much testing goes on at Apple before they release these updates etc.

I'll say it again:

If you having problems watching WWDC Keynotes, tutorials or Trailers on the Apple website, check your Quicktime 7 settings in System Preferences:

Under Streaming, set for Automatic, enable Instant On and Play Immediately.

Under Advanced, click Mime Settings and ensure that Streaming (both kinds) are enabled.

(Note that if you are running Snow Leopard you should be using Quicktime 7 and not version 10, which does not have a preference panel. Quicktime 7 is in your Utilities Folder and does have a preference panel.)

I too am having the same problem. I deleted the preferences as described but no luck. I can view trailer via iTunes but not Front Row. Is this a recent issue?

Suddenly the trailers (Front Row and Apple.com) are working again, all I did was open Quicktime 7 and they now work, but I tried that earlier and they didnt, very strange. Even with Quicktime 7 closed and Quicktime X open, they still work, and also with none open they still work now.

I opened Quicktime and Front Row works but very oddly showing the Trailers under Top 10 Films but still getting the error message when I try to watch anything under Theatrical Trailer??

Any ideas.

I also have an less than one year old iMac - same thing so that is on both Macs. I expect this is an Apple glitch that needs a software update??

My Apple TV suddenly refuses to play trailers. When I tried it on my Mac using Front Row it didn't work either, same error message. Checking with friends they also got the same error.

I can only assume something is wrong at Apple's end.

It also stopped working for me yesterday on all three computers (both the trailers in Front Row, and trying to watch trailers at apple.com/trailers).
Today everything is working again.

I also think that it was an issue on Apple's end. They probably pushed out an updated list of trailers and messed something up in the configuration.

Guys, I have been facing the same issue over the last days but have been able to at least resolve it in part...go to Safari preferences, security and then cookies, and then REMOVE ALL COOKIES ending in apple.com.

Although HD playback still seems broken, I am able now to play QT trailers without facing the Q question mark...hope this helps!

As for Front Row, try deleting its preferences as said above...this should help as well...

I didn't change anything, not even restart my iMac or Apple TV since yesterday, but right now the trailers work again (normal and HD) in Front Row as well on the Apple TV.
