Crash with keyboard shortcuts

Question

Crash with keyboard shortcuts

Using FC Express, any attempt to save (or render or various other commands) using keyboard shotcuts causes a crash. The same commands selected from the menu using the pointer cause no problems. Any suggestions?

G4 Tower, Mac OS X (10.4.3)

What keyboard layout are you using? It has to be set to the correct language. Try standard U.S. English and see if it works.

That seemed to work! I had my keyboard set to US Extended", when I changed it back the crashes went away. Thanks.

I had been having this problem on both a 20" imac G5, and my 17" powerbook 1Ghz. It was driving me nuts. My default keyboard layout is 'Canadian' (using tiger), since I AM actually in Canada.

Changing my default layout to US fixed the problem.

I find this particular bug extremely irritating, given the cost of this software.

Thank you, however, for the note -- at least I can use shortcuts now.
