How to un-jailbreak iphone

Hi everyone, I would like to un-jailbreak my iphone but am unsure of a few things. I have an original 8gb iphone which was bought on ebay with software version 1.1.2.

1.How do i un-jailbreak my iphone
2.Will it wipe out all my photos and music
3.I beleive it is unlocked as well, by un-jailbreaking it, will it lock it back to 02 if so will i still be able to use my 02 payg sim card.
4.Will i be able to upgrade my software version and will i be able to purchase apps from the apps store still using my payg sim.

Restoring the phone will relock it to the country of origin. After the restore, you can restore your music/photos from backup.

If the phone is an O2 phone, your SIM should work. Updating to the current firmware will allow you to download apps from the app store.

You will need to restore your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.

As already provided, if your iPhone has been hacked to be unlocked, restoring your iPhone with iTunes will re-lock the iPhone to the designated carrier the iPhone was sold as carrier locked with when new.

Thanks for the speedy replies.Sorry if I sound a little dim, but how do you backup the iphone as ive never done anything like this before and don't wont to break it.Also ive read in other forums that if you restore from backup you will copy over all the jailbreak software back again which I don't wont.If that is the case how can I save my contacts & photos to my PC.I have since found out that it is a UK iphone which would have been locked to 02 'contract' at the time, I am using a 02 payg sim...will it still work.I know im going on a bit but I need to make sure I do this right as im not very technically minded.All I wont is a clean iphone that i can update,buy apps but not loose any of my precious photos and contacts.

When you sync the phone, your contacts should be added to Addressbook on your Mac and you can import your photos to iPhoto.

After you do the sync, you would restore the phone in iTunes. This will put the phone back to factory condition. Did you originally buy the phone from O2 and then hack it? Or did you buy it from somewhere else? If the phone is not an O2 phone but a US phone, your SIM will not work.

Hi Tamara, sorry just realised im still showing imac...my ex took that with him so left with a pc any ideas where it will save my contacts.

Got it off ebay, it is a UK 02 iphone but was unlocked so it could be used as a payg and not contract.If I restore it to factory conditions will it 'un..unlock it' so I cant use my payg sim.

I don't use PCs anymore so I'm not sure where pictures would be stored. Contacts would be stored in Outlook.
