iPhone firmware update 3.1.3

I upgraded to the 3.1.3 and i haven't any problems with programs, the only problem which is a major problem is that the 3.1.3 has actually made my battery life much worse. I would get just two full days of usage out of the now I getting just about a day to little over a day with it, with about the same the usage.

Unfortunately some are experiencing problems with 3.1.3. However, my installation finished in about 15 minutes and I am not experiencing any problems with it.

.. check your user settings like wifi and and auto-brightness.

Upgraded my 3GS using my Windows 7 laptop. No problems as of yet. Battery life is normal, if not slightly better (98% after 45 minutes of playing an audiobook through headphones). I suspect any battery issues people are experience may be due to incorrect calibration.

Still, the update was worth it for the security fixes.

I have a slightly different problem. First gen Iphone. Phone stopped working two days ago. Did the standard troubleshooting. Updated to 3.1.3, but still nothing working. Just checked Ipod function and nothing working but do not know if it was not working before update as have not used it for a few days. Up until two days ago, everything was working fine. But right before and now after update, nothing on phone or ipod is working (I am getting emails). Any suggestions? Please help.

I can't agree more. Update should fix problems where third party apps would not start, well on 3.1.2 everything worked fine but now on 3.1.3 most of my 3rd party apps won't start. Wish i could make it undone and go back to 3.1.2. According to the version difference it is such a minor upgrade I would not advice anyone but stupidly I did.

Since i updated the firmware to 3.1.3 the GPS lock is way off my current location by 2 miles ive done a full restore and its not fixed it i just hope that OS 4.0 fixes the issue when its released

I updated my iPod touch 2g to 3.1.3 yesterday, and today I saw that sometimes the app store wont even show any apps, and i have to press the home button, re-open it, and hit home and re-open it again for it to show all of the apps.

Noticed that after upgrading to 3.1.3, when you are on the line and you press the home button, it doesn't bring you to the home page. Any solution???

Today I've just push button to update firmware of 3.1.3
However My iphone doesn't work any more even it worked yesterday.
How shall I do?

My iphone went dead during the update too.

It went black and stayed black. Factory reset won't work Have tried it on several different computers. It is no longer recognized. I have tried everything! Nothing works. It was fine before it upgraded. Never had a problem before.

3.1.3 Bricked mine too 😟

What should I do? I never imagined clicking on install would kill my iphone! 😟

I updated my itunes to newest version , backed up my iphone , 3 days ago then updated to v3.13, which then bricked my iphone, i have tried every suggestion known to man and apple technicians and its still not right , so today i traded it in for a nokia n900 running maemo, which can be compiled and amended by the user as its open source pretty much ..

This is not an advert for nokia, i don't work for them, but never again until its nearly 100% steady would i buy an iphone and be held for ransom by apple for software updates that brick their own hardware ...

Please don't tell me this many users have usb , firewall or other windows / pc problems as its a bit of a coincidence , it may not be apple software entirely but if its app/seting/network based surely they test this before they release a "universal software update" ???

Anyone else just about had enough of this ?

Has anyone here tried restoring with 3.1.3?

Just adding my two cents: I upgraded my 3GS to v3.1.3 and so far have experienced the following problems:

Erratic battery display: i.e. jumps from 22% to 8% to 25%

Often, if all browser windows were previously closed, so that when browser is opened and there is only a blank page displayed, if I click on the search field, Bookmarks automatically opens. If I close Bookmarks and try to click on the search field again, Bookmarks pops up again - I can't get to the search field.

I have experienced spontaneous rebooting.

I've had this phone since November 2009 with no problems until now.

i can add my problems as well:

i have the impression the battery dies faster than before, but that's not the main thing.
my phone lost the network connection (in an area where there is non) - ok so far, but it didn't re connect when i was in an area with good reception again. i had to reboot to get it find the network connection again. it happened twice so far. no jailbrake or other fancy settings, just a SIM-lock free 3GS with a german O2 card.

it workes good before, but this FW is a step back - i hope they come up with a bugfix soon.
