Help! How to set up wireless connection with DGN2000

Hi!

I am a complete beginner on Mac... How do I set up my newly bought DGN2000 Netgear router???

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.1)

Jason,

The device the OP has doesn't support connecting a RJ45 cable into the "internet" jack. The cable needs to be smaller, like that of a phone line.

Bridged mode wouldn't help in this case, would it?

Hi Lyssa,

Yeah... I see that now. I do know there are RJ11 to RJ45 adapters but I'm unsure if data throughput would be affected (I'd imagine it would be). As you and the other posters have stated, it really sounds like the device doesn't fit the need of the owner. AirPort favoritism aside, any router (DLink, Netger, Linksys, Belkin, etc.) would be a better solution than ADSL device.
