MP4 movie work in Itunes, but will not sync onto 160G Ipod.

All of my other movies, which were all converted in MP4 format, uploaded onto my 160G Ipod just fine.

But this new movie, which I downloaded as an MP4 (I could not find a avi format version to convert) is completely ignored when syncing my Ipod. The box that needs the check-mark has the check, and the move plays just fine.
My Itunes is up to date.

Any idea's? I really want this movie on my Ipod. 😟

I am having the exact same problem as you. I uploaded the video onto iTunes,and it worked fine, but it wouldn't upload onto my iPod Classic 160GB. I tried using the iTunes converter, but when I watch it on iTunes its just the audio with a blank white screen and it still won't upload onto my iPod.

monkey me (and others who have stumbled to this same problem),
As far as I can tell, the problem is the iTunes built-in converter. The solution I found is using MP4 converters to do the trick.
Mac users: HandBrake and PEnGUIn Encoder work just fine (And, dolhpins217, I think HandBrake supports .avi files, so there's the answer for your first question.). Both have iPod presets, so it's pretty easy to use. Ah... PEnGUIn allows you to select as many files you want to convert (HandBrake converts on file at a time, you have to wait and add another), since video converting takes pretty long It's a good thing, you can just let it working overnight.

Windows users: There's is a version of HandBrake for you, but I can't say if it's good. You could search another one... I googled "MP4 converter pc", this on seems ok:

HandBrake doesn't work on Windows for me as it finished encoding the DVD but when I tried to upload it onto my iPod it still wouldn't work, and when I watch it on iTunes, the quality is worse.
I tried 4U MP4 Converter, but that gave me the same result.
If anyone knows a good converter for Windows (preferably online) please tell me!

Sorry, I missed the fact you were having problems syncing the files to your iPod.
The lower quality is expected, the files are now in a smaller resolution (640x480), so now we have to understand why it isn't syncing...
Does any error messages pop up, or the files are just ignored?

The files are just completely ignored by my iPod, even though I can watch them on iTunes.

Okay...
First, are you sure the iPod is set to sync the movie files?
While you're checking the Movies and/or TV Shows tabs on iTunes, make sure it's set to sync all files (the original setting is to sync only unwatched files).
