BEWARE: iTunes Fraud

Just a quick warning to users to check your credit card account for any iTunes purchases that you didn't make. My card got cleaned out this morning.

It seems to start by checking the account is live by doing a small purchase of $3 or so, once that gets approved it clears house.

Quick search on the net revealed this:
http://consumerist.com/2009/05/watch-out-for-fraudulent-itunes-purchases-whether -you-have-an-itunes-account-or-not.html

Luckily I was checking my account today, and the bank had also flagged it, so it looks as though I will be reimbursed, so whilst a victim I might be a lucky one.

Goodluck

Oh boy...I have the same nightmare. On July 13 my iTunes/apple account was hacked into . Over 375.dollars in one day....I email iTunes 5 times, just get the will be in touch with you...I called they said someone would call me back in 48 hours. NOT. I had to cancel my checking debit and credit card....so I went out and got an iTunes gift card for 25.00 dollar....quesss what?...I can't use it...Why? Don,t know...I keep getting a pop up screen asking me for credit card info....NO I AM NOT GIVING ANY INFO FOR SOMEONE TO HACK INTO? AND my 25 dollars gift card well I guess iTunes is just gonna eat it cause I can,t use it. I,m new to apple just got and iPad....and it,s only good for email. Hummmm me think I spent too much money for nothing. What are my chances of getting my money back for this iPad waste of money? ....Buyer BEWARE......I just got @&$ by both apple and iTunes.
