Aperture 3 - graphic bugs

Have you calibrated your screen? I got sick of inconsistent prints so bought a hardware calibrator which made a big difference.

I also have these graphical glitches on my Macbook Pro. It also has the ATI X1600 128mb card, so seems to be a common problem with SL and ATI cards? I guess I'll just have to wait for an update.

Same thing for me... no way of testing Aperture 3 with these glitches... That's just frustrating...

I am seeing these glitches big time on my 2.0 ghz Mbp with 2gb Ram and the Radeon 128mb card. Is Apple aware of the problem? Anyone know when we will see these drivers?
This problem wasn't apparent on my 3.06ghz iMac with the NVIDIA 500mb Card, which is what I had been running the trial upgrade on.

I've had the same problem, its seems to be a refresh problem, when it happens just zoom in and out and it should refresh the image on screen.

Indeed zooming in and zooming out is a solution. But to me it's just a trick. When you pay 200$ for a software, it should be free of such basic bugs... That's not as if RAW pictures were just optional files for Aperture. On top of that, Adobe Lightroom manages just perfectly raw files...

Thought I'd chip in and say that I'm having the same issue with the Aperture 3 trial on my Snow Leopard Macbook Pro with ATI X1600 chipset.

I'm a long time Adobe Lightroom user and fancied switching to Aperture because the UI and photo management features feel better. However the intrusive graphic glitches while using the adjustment brushes and viewing the adjustment previews are a deal breaker.

I was surprised to see that this issue was first raised with Aperture 2 on the release of Snow Leopard. The apparent silence from Apple on the issue makes me even less likely to to cross-grade to Aperture 3. I'll keep an eye out for ATI driver and Aperture updates but until a fix surfaces Apple won't be getting my money.

I'm still feeling stung after native support for my HP Deskjet 990cxi was dropped in Snow Leopard. A good photo printer junked by an OS upgrade.

On a rare occasion I get this same problem in photoshop, I think it might be a graphics card problem with snow leopard.

I believe this is HP no longer supporting their older printers. They did the same to me with the psc2400 series. I initially contacted them and they said they would released drivers for scanning support. 4 months later they refused to respond on the issue saying I had to pay for support. Their web page still says no scanning support.

iMac 20" Core2Duo 2.16GHZ with ATI X1600 graphics card. OS X 10.6.2

It seems to be that the ATI card is the common denominator here.

Aperture 2 had loads of graphic glitches on my iMac. I'm glad they give you a 30 day trial, but this really should have been sorted by now.

I did get a chance to try A3 on a MacBook Pro 17" and it works a treat. There's really no excuse for it not working on the ATI X1600, it's not exactly rare!

I'm having the same issues - especially with brushes.

Glad to see that Apple is really reactive about this issue... :(((

Has anyone had a chance to run the update to see if these graphic bugs have been fixed? Unfortunately I won't have a chance to check for another day or two.

Still the same graphics problem on my MBP 2.16 Intel core 2 duo, X1600 video card. All Aperture 3 and snow leopard updates installed. Perfectly OK with Aperture 2.

Same problem here, although it only appears in Aperture 3, no other applications. Logic board was exchanged last October, so it's probably not a hardware problem.

did you do the aperture update that came out yesterday ?
